There’s something so satisfying about a pair of newly finished socks. I seem to have become a little bit addicted to knitting socks this month, having finished two pairs and quickly cast on another sock project.

They really are the perfect summer knitting project - light in your hand so they don’t get hot. Plus they’re also great for taking out and about with you as they easily tuck into your bag!

One of my newest finished pairs are the beautiful Dreaming of Paris Socks by Joji Locatelli. I'm completely in love with this pattern! The lace panel on the cuff is so pretty and was simple to knit, followed by rounds of stripes that make you feel as though your knitting is going quickly.

The heel on these socks is a squishy slipped stitch heel, and I can see myself incorporating this heel into other socks.

I loved the look of the socks so much in the sample that I chose similar colours for mine.

Knitted in Nettle Sock Yarn using 1 ball each of Salmon and Chocolate Brown.

I can highly recommend this lovely pattern!

The other pair I’ve just finished are the Footsie Socks by Libby Jonson. These socks feature a gorgeously squishy stitch pattern which was very simple and enjoyable to knit - another pattern I can happily recommend!

I can see this pair becoming one of my favourites this Autumn, as they are so delightfully squishy and soft to wear.

I knit these also using Nettle Sock, in Botanical Green. I’ve been wanting to knit a pair of socks in this deep foresty green for ages and am happy to have finally done so!

The next item on my to-knit list is my first garment for the year - another Doocot jumper. I wear my mustard one so much in Autumn and Winter. I find the mustard colour goes remarkably well with most items in my wardrobe, and for my second version, I’ve tried to select another colour that will pair with almost everything.

I’ll be using KPC Novomerino DK again as it’s worked up so nicely in my first version, and is very soft to wear. This time I’m using the colour Chinchilla.
