This online workshop will set you up with the foundations of knitting in a fun, easy-to-learn way. You’ll learn and practise your new knitting skills whilst making a cosy, contemporary infinity scarf that you’ll be proud to wear.

I designed this workshop to teach knitting to people who are unable to attend my in-person workshops. Knitting is a rewarding, enjoyable hobby that really has no limits. I love that moment of joy when someone gets those first stitches onto their needles and wanted to help more people achieve that.

I’ve had people arrive to workshops who have learnt to knit from a variety of internet sources and discovered that they have techniques mixed up and sometimes confused. This makes it hard for them to successfully learn new techniques. With this workshop, you’ll start off on the right foot, knowing each technique is being taught correctly.
Along with the technique videos, you’ll also receive my Beginner’s Knitting Guide, a PDF booklet that talks about gauge, reading patterns & more.

As a Member of the Academy for Knitting, you’ll enjoy unlimited access to the workshop videos, allowing you to learn at your own pace. You can access them as many times as you want whenever it suits you, giving you the time to learn and practise your new skills on more than one project.

Who is the Beginner’s Knitting Workshop for?

★ People who have zero knitting experience and would like to learn how to knit on a fun, achievable project with lots of guidance and information.

★ People returning to knitting after a long absence who need to refresh their skills (maybe you learnt as a child & you’re having trouble getting started again.)

★ Or maybe you’ve just learnt how to knit but you’d like more guidance such as - finishing off your knitting nicely, how to understand yarn labels or what gauge means.

★ How to knit & purl

★ How to cast off (finish knitting & secure your stitches)

★ How to weave or darn in yarn ends

★ How to neatly sew a knitted seam
