A dash of festivity
I was looking around Say! Little Hen yesterday and noticed how festive everything was looking, so I thought a little behind the scenes might be fun!
There are lots of different things happening here at the moment. There are lot of lovely mohair locks waiting to become Gnome beards. I love packaging these up into polka dot bags, ready to assemble into kits. The Gnomes were so much fun to knit last year, and putting kits together for them the second year running has me feeling like it’s becoming a bit of a tradition.
There are tiny knitted ornaments dotted around the office; some scattered on the desk here in front of me and others pegged to the inspiration board. The Nordic Mice are peeking from their basket in the cupboard; I will have to get them out soon and display them on the shelf.
Then there is this delicious Christmas Tea - what could it be for, you wonder? You’ll have to wait and see!
I think I love Christmas knitting because you can have lots of fun creating tiny things. The projects are generally quick and tiny things are so irresistible. Then there is the colourwork - I’ve talked many times about how much I love knitting stranded colourwork. Festive makes seem to be the perfect place for colourwork!
It was with great delight that the Christmas Shop went live today. I’ve put in it kits and patterns for projects of all sizes, including new supply kits for these sweet stockings by Little Cotton Rabbits.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this little glimpse into what’s happening at Say! Little Hen at the moment.
Until next time, happy making!
