Knit It | The Darling Dots Beanie

I'm very excited to share my new pattern with you. This is one I have been dreaming up for some time, it was just waiting for the right time and right yarn to come along. The organic wool this is knitted in is so incredibly lightweight, making this beanie a delight to wear. It's lovely and warm but so comfortable, and not heavy at all.

This is the first women's accessory I have designed, and it's also the first pattern I'll be offering in two versions - one for working it flat, and the other in-the-round. I've published the flat version today, and the round version will be available soon. To celebrate, I've put together a special offer!

For this week only, you can get 10% off the Darling Dots Beanie with the code DARLINGDOTS. If you also purchase yarn to go with the Beanie, you'll receive 20% off the pattern with the code BEANIELOVE.
You only need 2 balls of WOOLganic Merino 4ply for one beanie, and the colour options are almost endless! The one above is made in Raindrops & Grapefruit Moon, and I'm about to cast on another in Black Swan with Grapefruit Moon for the dots again.

Both versions will come in the one pattern, on separate files. If you'd like to take advantage of the new release offers, but would like to knit the beanie with the round version, don't worry as you'll be sent the in-the-round version as soon as it's released.
The pattern is currently available exclusively on my website and will be released on Ravelry as soon as both versions are published.

The beanie features a 2x2 rib cuff, and after working the dots you change back to the main colour for the crown shaping. This makes it very easy to work as you haven't got to follow the colour chart and do shaping at the same time.
I'd say this is a good knit if it's your first time doing colour work, as you're only handling two colours and with the dots so close together you don't even need to carry the yarn as you would with an Intarsia design.

I'd love to know what you think of the Darling Dots Beanie! And if you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch either below or via email.

Happy knitting!
